Error Virtual Machine Disks Consolidation Is Needed in VMware vSphere





I'm sure that we are VMware vSphere Administrator ever seen an Error Consolidation Needed, then you will go to Snapshoot Manager and Consolidate disk from there. But, how you fix error related consolidate without snapshoot exist on your snapshoot manager?

In This article i need to show you on how to Consolidate Snapshots where Snapshoot File doesn't exist in Snapshoot Manager using VMware vSphere Client

Consolidate needed error message will generated when description file of snapshoot(.vmsn) has been lost, the description file loss often occurs due to imperfections when doing deletion snapshoot. You will find your snapshoot file with the code 00000 # your_vm_name-or-00000 # -delta.vmdk your_vm_name

Then how do we do Consolidate simultaneously throwing the snapshoot file?

Quite easy and simple, you just need to re-snapshoot, when the process snapshoot successful then proceed to click the menu delete all from snaphoot manager. Such a move would do Consolidate data and proceed to remove the existing snapshoot file.
